Day 120

January 20, 2011

Today I’m doing well.
For breakfast I had a cup of corn and a chicken breast. Only 240 calories!
I’ll have 1/2 cup of corn and two chicken breasts for dinner tonight. No lunch because I’ve got school at 12:30 and then right after school I have work at 2. That will give me a total of 540 calories for the day. Pretty good, I would say.

In other news, I have no idea how much I weigh. My scale’s batteries died and I haven’t had time to go out and get new ones yet. I don’t feel any different, probably because I haven’t been doing a very good job at limiting my intake. I have so much inspiration, yet I don’t know why I keep messing up. Kill me now, please.

I have a new idea on how to do this. Instead of a count UP, I’ll do a count DOWN. So this would be day 120, if I want to lose my weight in 120 days. Each day the number will drop by one (obviously) and I’ll have the remaining days to achieve my new body. Sounds good? Ok, let’s do it.

January 2nd, 2011

January 2, 2011

For this new year I’d like to write on the blog a little bit more. Well, maybe a lot more.

I want to finally lose the weight that I’ve had for the past few years, and I want everyone to be there with me. In order to do that, I have to start writing about it again. I want to write at LEAST once a week. I think that that will keep me motivated to show progress. So what have I done to start in on this progress? Well, I went yesterday and bought a stationary bicycle. It’s pretty nifty. It’s got speakers built into it so I can play my iPhone through them, and it has a built in iFit card reader, which is an eight week program to get you into shape. I haven’t gone out and bought the iFit cards just yet because I’m going to see if I can do it without them.

Josh and I started assembling it last night and finished this morning. I then broke it in with my first exercise of the year! When I got off I was a sweaty mess, but it felt great. I almost want to get on it and do another 30 minutes tonight, but that would probably be a bad idea, and I would end up injuring myself in some way.

So here’s to 2011, losing weight, and blogging more!

December 28, 2010

December 28, 2010

I fell off the bandwagon, and I’ll be the first to admit it.

It always seems like there’s so much going on that I have no time to focus on doing anything but living and pushing forward. No time to diet, and I’m afraid that I’m just too lazy to change my lifestyle. I need that motivation.

So in order to help me get started again, my mother has put up some wonderful “prizes” for me. She says that once I reach my ultimate goal weight, she’ll pay for my breast augmentation. Not a breast enlargement or anything, I don’t need bigger boobs, I would just like the ones I have to look right, since they don’t right now.

If that’s not the best prize ever I don’t know what is.
I have a year to do this, because I want to look amazing by next Christmas.

So here’s for day one.

July 14th, 2010 (Day 10)

July 14, 2010

So today I did very poorly, but I’m not going to beat myself up about it, because I’m trying something new. I’m starting to eat breakfast. Instead of leaving me more full for the day, it actually left me yearning food. And lots of it.

The breakdown:

Breakfast: 280
20 small peanut butter stuffed pretzels

Lunch: 530
6 inch tuna sub from Subway

Dinner: 553.2
Summer Salad from Crisper’s with chicken instead of turkey.

And by god, I didn’t even have time to work out, since we just got home from dinner and the town center.
My weight has gone down though. I’m back down to 223.4, which is nice. I’m also almost a pant size smaller than when I started! Hooray! And people at work have been commenting on it, which is fun and new. And my face has cleared up!

Ah, well, I’ll do better tomorrow and work out.

July 12th, 2010 (Day 8)

July 12, 2010

I think this working out thing is going well. I’ve worked out three days in a row and I’m really beginning to like it. I work out for 30-60 minutes a day, burning as many as 300 calories at a time.

As another note, I did horribly today. I binged and ate 430 calories worth of fries, and I wanted to just lay down and die right there. Luckily I went to the gym and burned 308 calories, giving me room for dinner.

The breakdown!

Breakfast: 0 calories
I don’t usually eat breakfast.

Lunch: 800 calories
Chick-N-Strips (3 count): 370
Waffle Fries: 470
Diet Coke: 0

Dinner: 170 calories
Tai Pei Beef and Broccoli (1 cup): 170
Sprite Zero: 0

Exercise: 308 calories burned
1 hour bicycling: 308

Total: 661.6
Weight: 226.6
BMI: 36.4

My extra weight today (and probably for the next few days) is going to be water weight. I started my period on the 9th and will be on it for the next week. Not fun, because I feel even more like a whale than I already did.

Anyway, I hope that I do a little better tomorrow than I did today with the eating.

July 11th, 2010 (Day 7)

July 11, 2010

My first week in!
I went to the gym again today with Josh. The only thing that was disappointing was that the AC wasn’t working, which made it horribly unbearable. Other than that it was a fairly productive day.

Day 6 Morning Update

July 10, 2010

I got on the scale this morning, and it said I was 221.8 pounds. That’s 3.8 pounds LESS than it said I was yesterday. I was a little confused, seeing as I ate more than I should have yesterday, so I made my boyfriend get on the scale. It seemed to be right, and I’m not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.

Today I’m going to stick to my calories and not go off track like last night.
I’ll post again tonight and record my calories.

July 9th, 2010 (Day 5)

July 9, 2010

(EDIT)
Shit shit shit.

I looked up a four count Chick-Fil-A box of chick-n-strips and a few websites said they were 125 calories. I didn’t realized until just now that they were 125 calories a piece. I ate FOUR. That’s 500 calories, plus the medium fruit cup I ate at lunch sans grapes and mandarin oranges which was another 66.5 calories. I’m done for the day. I’ll have one cup of pear halves for dinner, which will take up 50 of my remaining 67 calories. I wondered why I felt really super full after lunch.

I had company in from out of town and we all went out and ate last night. I only had a salad, but it still set me back by a lot.

Here’s the breakdown for July 9th, 2010.

Breakfast: 66.5
95% of a medium Chick-Fil-A fruit cup: 66.5 calories
Water: 0 calories

Lunch: 566.5
Chick-Fil-A Chick-N-Strips (4 count): 500 calories
95% of one medium Chick-Fil-A fruit cup: 66.5 calories

Dinner: 560
Californian Chicken Salad from O’Charley’s: 560
Water: 0
Diet Coke: 0

Exercise: 75 calories burned
Sexual Activity: 75 calories burned

Total Calories: 1117.5
Weight: 225.6 (+1.2 from yesterday)
BMI: 36.1 (no change from yesterday)

I can’t even work out to burn it off because I’m having company for the weekend and I’m not rude enough to leave them unsupervised while I go work out for an hour. I’ll do better tomorrow, I promise.
